SATW Councils
SATW is divided into three Councils: Freelance, Editors and Associates.
The Freelance Council is made up of members who are travel writers, photographers, broadcasters and creators of mobile apps and other new media. Whether Freelance Council members are staff writers or photographers for print media and websites, authors of guide books, contributors to online travel content sites or syndication services, bloggers and creators of apps.
The Editors Council members include anyone who oversees travel-related content including editors of newspapers, magazines, books and websites.
SATW's Associate Council is made up of members who work in the travel promotion industry such as public relations and advertising firms, Destination Management Organizations, Convention and Visitors Bureaus, and Tourism Boards.
The Freelance and Editors Councils have their own annual meeting and other activities. The Associates Council has a meeting in conjunction with the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
